Compartment syndrome: More medical reporting of atraumatic  compartment syndrome has taken place.  This phenomenon has basis on the ability of muscle and soft tissues to expand and swell beyond their maximal internal volume exceeding the capacity of connective tissue to bind them.  The result is strangulation and eventual baronecrosis of the compressed fascial compartment.   The condition leads to fatal  myoglobinuria.

Ulnar nerve issue: With your hand palm up, if the numbness is on the inner side (close to your body) ulnar nerve issue is likely; if on the other side, median nerve issue is likely. Things like ganglions can occur there, compressing nerves and may not be easily felt.

Doctor can evaluate: A primary care doctor or a dermatologist can examine the area to see if there is a problem with the skin. The doctors, and a neurologist, can check for nerve problems in those nerves coming out of the spinal cord, all the way to the numb area. A physical medicine and rehabilitation (physiatry) doctor can help find the cause, if there is a nerve or muscle problem.

Basics: If this reached his stomach (he can drink water okay) then it will likely pass in his poop in 3-4 days. If you stew some okra &amp; feed it to him this can form a congeal around the edges that will make it easier to move/pass through the gut. It would be visible on x-ray or set off a metal detector held near the belly. If he develops colicky belly pain have him seen.

FIRST contact your: surgeon. 
 if today is a follow up day make sure you do so.
Tightening bandages, failure to ice and elevate, failure to move fingers if permitted, channeled to swelling and in turn tingling. Even so swelling can occur anyway despite doing these things. Your  surgeonmay even tel you to loosen the badge a bit  BUT

The most important thing is  to contact your surgeon.If you can't seek help elsewhere

Probably not: Tennis elbow straps work by providing a "counterforce" to decrease the load of the tendons on their attachments at the elbow.
