Do not take anymore cough medication for a period of 24 hours.  If you develop high  fever, visual problems, rapid heart rate, excessive sweating, nausea, vomiting;
have a friend or relative take you into the Emergency Department for immediate evaluation.

Yes but...: if it is day and night, you can give the day pill one pill 2-3 times a day. the night pill acetaminophen dose may be too strong, but wont hurt if given once.  However, best to avoid these things for kids. I give acetaminophen or ibuprofen for fever, pain, zyrtec (cetirizine) for runny nose, honey/lemon tea for cough. Rumor has it rubbing vicks on soles of feet then wearing socks helps cough.
