No harm No help: Exercise plus a diet high in protein are the mainstays of increasing/maintaining healthy muscle bulk. Nutritional supplements (as sold in Health Food stores have NOT been shown to be useful with ANY scientifically based medical studies that I am aware of

Be careful : Depends which country you are in.  In some countries regulation around these products are a bit loose and cases of safety concerns have occurred.  Safest to work with a sports physician or physiotherapist and get specific advice for your individual situation

Yes: There are potential side effects from any medication. No med is side effect free. With zanaflex, (tizanidine) the most common side effects are drowsiness and low blood pressure. This does not mean they will always occur but they can occur. I always advise my patients to take the med at home, do not drive when first taking the medication just to see how it affects you.
