Look for less sugar: Look for snacks with less sugar and not too many carbs (starches) in general. Snacks with sugar tend to make you want more and more. Low-carb snacks include celery with peanut butter, hard boiled eggs, nuts, cheese, lettuce wraps with lunch meat (maybe lower fat deli meat), turkey jerky, etc...

Exam needed: Sensation of cold feet can be due to peripheral neuropathy from diabetes,vitamin B12 deficiency, alcohol abuse, medications like beta blockers. Your midback pain could be from pathology affecting the spinal cord. Your symptoms warrant an evaluation by a physician or neurologist. Blood tests,mri of the spine will most likely be recommended.

Stress on bone.: It sounds like you may be exhibiting a stress fracture of the fifth metatarsal. Probably best to have the foot examined to remove all doubt. You might need a special boot to help stabilize the bone. There could be other possibilities, but all may require resting the foot, so why not with a boot.
