Watery eye, nose: Watery eye, nose can be due to: allergy, virus, or bacterial infection, sinusitis. Rarely more serious. See "allergy" at eyedoc2020@blogspot.com for initial treatments for allergy. If no improvement in couple of days, see eyeMD to be sure not infection and need a Rx for antibiotic.

See your eye doctor!: For peace of mind, see your eye doctor to make sure there's nothing more serious going on in your eye. What you may need to work up further for the  possibilities of shingles or separately, a cluster headache. Those can present seasonally, and have the symptoms of unilateral eye pain, with headache, allergy-like migrainous components. Your eye tearing, pain experienced needs to be evaluated soon.

Eye tearing: A blocked duct in your eye may be the problem. An ophthalmologist could evaluate,advise and treat you.

Many causes: The swelling may be due to infection or inflammation. both may require medical treatment. Seeing your eye doctor would be critical to obtain a diagnosis. In the meantime ,you can try warm compresses to see if that helps.

Needs evaluation: You may have a blocked lacrimal drainage canal.  The tears bathe the eye, pass to the nasal side of the eye and then go down a plumbing system into the nose.  It can sometimes narrow or even get blocked and this can be spontaneous.  Check with your ophthalmologist who can evaluate this and see there the blockage is.

See doctor: When one has watery nasal discharge from one side of the nose, the presence of a fractured skull (cribiform plate) needs to be ruled out especially if you have had a recent trauma to the face or skull. I supposed a right sided sinusitis may cause similar symptoms but you need to consult your doctor or ENT to get checked out.

Allergies or cold.: Usually a runny nose is indicative of allergies of a cold. For the former, you could also have headache, facial pains, earache, and scratchy throat.  For the latter, you could be achy and feverish.

since my hubby had heart attack amd stenting, his nose won't stop running and eyes water all time. what should be done?

Side effect?: You may want to go over his new medications. Some medications can cause runny noses. Some new class blood pressure medications like arb's can cause a runny nose. Check with your doctor about the sude effects of your new medicines.
