my bp (at rest) is often around 125/83.  sometimes its lower, like 117/79.  is 125/83 bad enough to warrant medication?  i already exercise a lot.

These are : NORMAL readings!.....I would stop "concentrating " on the NUMBERS!

It can: Ra can sometimes flare after months of remission. If the flares are frequent or severe you should consider changing or adjusting your meds.

Check with doctor: I am not sure which medications you are taking because many medications can cause drowsiness as a side effect. I suggest you talk to your doctor if this is affecting your ability to work. Be careful with driving and do not operative heavy machinery until your doctor has had a chance to adjust your dose or find an alternative medication that wouldn't make you so drowsy.

Heart rate: Do you have any medical conditions? Why do you want to slow your heart rate? Your heart rate is still considered to fall in the normal range. Beta blockers like atenolol, toprol (metoprolol) used for high blood pressure can cause your heart rate to slow down.

i'm currently on blood pressure medication (arb) and my bp at rest is 110/70. the other day i got really excited and my bp climbed to 180/90... after 30 minutes it was 150/80 and when i got home it was 118/76. do i need to add more meds?

: Blood pressure goes up &amp; down throughout the day. It is not static. If the pressure is consistently in the normal range (&lt;130/80) then transient increases are not a problem.

i am 18 years old and i have bipolar disorder. will i have to be on medication for the rest of my life?

No one can say: Certainly medication is needed in most bipolar disorders. Severity varies, response to medication also is not always predicatble and the course of the disorder is probably the most unpredictable, especially in adolescents and children. Like anything else in life you are wisest to deal with things like that on a day to day basis. There are no guarantees about the future and no cystal ball.
