So stage helps to predict.

More than size: Staging is based on more than just size but also whether the cancer has spread to lymph nodes and to surrounding tissues. Symptoms like erythrocytosis (3%), hypercalcemia (5%), and non-metastatic hepatic dysfunction (15%) can also occur.
