Follow up needed!: The nice thing here is that you can be followed up clinically and observed. Follow your surgeon's directions. Should likely be seen every 4-6 months for a 2 years or so. If no recurrence, then at least annually!

Very rare: This is an extremely rare complication of gout Ocular inflammation occurs as the result of deposits of urate crystals called tophi in areas of the eye. The usual manifestations are conjunctivitis and uveitis.

Eyeball feature: This is a yellowish patch of cells occasionally seen on the surface conjunctiva of the eyeball.More often on the nasal side, if present it is usually at the corneal/scleral junction. It is of little if any significance and is more often found in older people.

Unfortunately yes!: Depending on severity of a closed, penetrating or perforating ocular injury, vision may not be recoverable. A blind, painful eye is removed for pain relief, cosmetic reasons or to protect the opposite eye, which as strange as it sounds can be lost to a condition called sympathetic ophthalmia, an inflammatory reaction to injury in the opposite eye! ocular prostheses look amazingly real nowadays!

Yes: Sometimes melanoma can arise within the eye and removal may be part of the treatment.

Stye treatment: Usually sties resolve on their own with simple application of warm compresses (for 10-15 minutes 2-4 times a day) to bring stye to head & rupture (do not squeeze it). Recurrent sties may require antibiotics. If stye doesn't drain completely, then the doc may have to lance it (after using local anesthetic) to remove its contents & speed healing.
