Uterine inversion: This is a relatively rare condition where the placenta gets attached to the uterus and as it exits it inverts the uterus creating a medical emergency.  The uterus has to be repositioned or you can have excessive bleeding

No need: Unless the degree of retroversion is severe enough to interfere with conception and labor, which you already had, wish you and your baby wellness

Yes: If the uterine wall has torn, it will be sewn up after delivery with sutures that dissolve.  Depending on where the tear was, and how extensive it was, future pregnancy may not be recommended.

Accepted Answer

Emergencies only: We generally do not remove a uterus during a c/section unless there is a bleeding or other life threatening emergency regardless of diabetes and Insulin use. You can however, get your fallopian tubes tied at c/s if you want to end childbearing.

All uterus?: Sounds like you may have had a supra cervical rather than total removal of the uterus. The tissue left is enough to have cyclical bleeding. Talk to your surgeon to clarify.

No: The oral contraceptive pill actually decreases the growth of the lining of the uterus(endometrium) making for lighter and shorter periods from hormonal withdrawal bleeding..

diagnosed with 1.4 cm polyp lower to mid segment of my uterus.could it tear / burst during pregnancy or giving birth causing amniotic fluid embolism ?

Polyp/uterine: A uterine polyp is a growth from the lining of the uterus, and is not a threat to a pregnancy in any way, will not "tear or burst", nor cause an amniotic fluid embolism.  Polyps can cause some bleeding when they twist and cut off their blood supply, but are not a cause for concern in pregnancy.

i think i have a prostaglandin issue because during my period, my uterus contracts so violently. can birth control help? i have cramps w/ nuvaring :(

possibly: If you have used the NuvaRing for longer than 3 cycles and still have severe cramps, contact your doctor to see if there are other methods they recommend (pills, patch or mirena).

GYN: Time to get a GYN exam, pelvic and rectal exams to make sure there is no infection, inflammation or small tear.

which procedure is taken after theres still some placenta inside uterus after birth?

Accepted Answer

A D&C: Hopefully this will be sufficient. There is a condition called placenta accreta where the placenta can't separate from the uterus.  This is much more difficult to manage and could require a hysterectomy.
