Consider this: There are several over the counter medications developed to control canker sores. For those who prefer not to medicate you may try hene laser. Usually not: If your aphthous ulcers are associated with a uc flare then Mesalamine may help by reducing disease activity. Otherwise they should be managed symptomatic ally with Lidocaine or occasional topical steroids. Discuss with your gi.

Warm saltwater.: Warm saltwater rinses 3-5/day will help reduce inflammation and make the area more comfortable.  Ibuprofen 400mg every 4 hrs will do the same. Ice directly on the sore for 10 minutes 4-5 times/day is difficult but really works.
Eat only soft foods that are not spicy or hot to keep from irritating the area.
All these will reduce the healing time but it still takes 7-10days.

4yr old has canker sore in the back top part of soft pallet. eats/drinks normal, no fever.. doesn't seem to bother her. treatment? healing time?

About 10 days: It will likely go away within 10 days. If it does not bother her, no Rx is needed. If the lesion persists for more than  3 weeks. then you will need to have the dentist checked it.

: Very likely yes but … since it is unknown what causes canker sores, its also unknown what part of the immune system makes it disappear.  Canker sores are probably caused by a viral infection, but a specific virus has never been identified.

Call your dentist: This sounds miserable and the clove oil aggravated it. Unfortunately there isn't much that can help resolve a canker sore quicker.  Call your dentist to see if it needs to be looked at.

Oral Discomfort: It appears as though you may be suffering from dehydration related to your "intestinal issues".  This may stress your body enough that you develop canker sores or oral lesions that resemble them.   However, "sores" under the tongue should be examined thoroughly by a dentist, oral surgeon or oral pathologist to eliminate the possibility of a potentially more serious condition.

i feel deep in my throat deep down from right tonsil canker sore. it s pain when i swallow hard food from this side. i took arcoxia nsaid before due to back pain.is it related? causes? treatment? need to take vitamins?

: Yes, canker sore (aphthous ulcer) can be an adverse effect of arcoxia (a COX-2 inhibitor). You can use local anesthetic gel (teething gel for kid) before eating for less pain. Vitamins have no role in treatment of canker sore.
