If the blood sugar drops too low adrenalin can be released and cardiac discomfort could result if the patient has known or unrecognized coronary artery disease. This symptom should be reported to the patient's physician or if chest distress is ongoing the patient should be transported to the hospital emergency room for immediate evaluatio

If it's either very brief (seconds) or very long (hours), it's probably not your heart.

Reflux also can cause chest pain or pain between the shoulder blades. Reflux can trigger asthma symptoms. First get help from a doc separating the issues. For reflux start an antacid and avoid heavy greasy food and late dinner. There are surgical options
