Light sensitivity: Call your pediatrician and ask for an immediate referral to a pediatric ophthalmologist, not a general ophthalmologist.  Your baby could have some serious inflammation or an infection.

my nephew (10mo) has redness around one eye, started at lower lash and now has small little pimple like lumps with redness, redness has reduced from bottom but now spread to top of the eyelid. histador was recommended, hasn't helped. any ideas?

Possible hives : Monitor for signs of infection including increased redness, pus and fever. If the problem is an allergic reaction, topical antihistamine lotion and an oral pediatric antihistamine may improve the redness. Please see your pediatrician for an evaluation.

Need ophthalmology.: A headache with new-onset blurring could be a serious problem, with your eyes or your brain, or might be just a need for glasses and many other possibilities. You need to be examined by an ophthalmologist to find out if the symptoms are serious and vision threatening or not. Concern for acute angle closure glaucoma, allergy, dry eye and many other conditions. Needs an in person examination.

i hit face with a door 36 hours ago. the red around my eye (under eyebrow) is now black & increased. should i be concerned. i have no other symptom.

Black eye: Is caused by bleeding beneath the skin around the eye. Sometimes a black eye indicates a more extensive injury, but  most black eye injuries aren't serious. However, if you experience vision problems (double vision, blurring see your medical professional for evaluation.

Tight Goggles: Tight goggles can definitely cause this. Or allergy to the rubber compound of the goggles. Try different brand and looser ones.

GPC: You may be getting an allergic response to Comtacts called Giant Papillary conjunctivitis or GPC. Which is a foreign body reaction in the lids. See your Ophthalmologiist   Not the Costco and Walmart docs. This is a medical condition and needs an MD to manage it.

Most commonly : Seen after waxing or depilation treatments. Topical steroids may help.
