Superficial injury: With both sudden onset (since yesterday) and associated with the colors often found with a superficial bruise, it sounds more like a small hematoma.  You don't describe how you are carrying babies, but usually this would be across ones chest, hence a likely cause.  If this does not resolve in a week or so, it would be good to get it checked out to relieve your concern.

Infantile rash: This could be a number of things depending on the age of your child.  Anything from erythema toxicum neonatorum to infantile acne are all potentially possible.  I would recommend you have your pediatrician have a look first, and if your child is behaving like he/she is sick then sooner than later.

Skin reaction: to the venom the wasp injects when it stings. It can last up to a week, then should gradually improve. If you start having difficulty breathing or throat swelling, see your doctor or go to the ER. Hope this helps!

Pediculosis: Chronic recurrent idiopathic urticarial rash, causing pruritus, especially near scalp line, posterior ears, hairlines can be due to hair lice, scabies, which is called pediculosis.  Symptomatic treatment with oral prednisone, anti-histamine, topical corticosteroid cream are temporary, with symptoms return until the actual causative factor is identified, and treated.

Unlikely: The scenario described is inconsistent with clindamycin allergy.  In fact, rash-less itching is due to dry skin more often than not (which Benadryl (diphenhydramine) might worsen).

Trigger: Dryness or an allergen irritated the nerve in skin, scratching activates histamine release by resident skin cell, making all worse. If not infected apply Benadryl (diphenhydramine) cream or hydrocortisone.
