Involuntary: this is often referred to as vasomotor instability: it is involuntary, like blushing, or flushing of skin. Veins are blue. capillaries are red.

? phlebitis or lymph: Redness along the arm in a long streak pattern can be related to phlebitis-inflammation of the vein and/or lymphangitis-inflammation of the lymph vessels due to bacterial infection.  This needs physician review.  Can be a big problem with need for antibiotic therapy.

why is there a vein popping out like a chord on the palm of my hand with redness around the surrounding area? i used the sauna for about 5 minutes and a few minutes after coming out i noticed a pinching pain that lasted for about a minute?

: A vein popping out like a cord on the palm of the hand with redness around the surrounding area and a pinching pain after using a sauna for a few minutes may be caused by various factors such as dehydration, heat exhaustion, vasodilation, or inflammation. Heat stress can cause vasodilation and pooling of blood in the extremities, resulting in erythema (redness) and edema (swelling)

No: It rarely means a blood clot.  Swelling in both hands is usually something generalized, not just in the arms.  It can occur in a variety of conditions.

my veins on my wrist have pretty much always been pretty visible but now the veins in my hands (left hand specifically) are extremely visible as well, i only noticied in bathroom lighting. no pain, no swelling, no redness. should i be concerned?

Need UCC or ED.: Two thoughts.  You may have injected into the subcutaneous tissue around the vein, causing an infiltration.  Or you could have introduced bacteria into the area and caused a cellulitis (or tendinitis or osteomyelitis depending on what the needle may have hit).  Regardless, you need a doctor to evaluate the area and determine if any acute treatment would be required.

episodes of redness, burning sensation, numbness and vein swelling in my feet, ankles, and sometimes hands at night or when standing. the skin itself is not cracked or dry. socks, shoes and hot shower makes worse. elevating feet helps. any ideas?

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor.

i have developed a darker brown patch of skin on my hand and not sure if its anything to be worried about. at a closer look it has very small dots and red lines (almost vein like). please advise ?

: A common problem and nothing to worry about .
Could be a form of Purpura( bruising ) which slowly resolves spontaneously

Various: Red palms are seen in two-thirds of pregnancies during the first trimester and resolves postpartum. Palmar erythema is also seen in other conditions such as lupus erythematosus, liver damage or thyroid disease.

Swollen hand veins.: Hand veins can swell for many reasons but the most common is certainly hereditary .  Other factors would be level of hydration, aging, sun exposure and loss of elasticity.  I doubt at age 25 that aging is a factor for you. Actually, I am amazed at the amount of women that i see with bulging hand veins.  They can be easily treated with laser or sclerotherapy and usually a combination of both.
