i have some bumpy red spots on both my wrists and other parts of my body for a while now. they are sometimes itchy. what could it be?

Allergies: Your symptoms sound like it might represent an allergic dermatitis.  It may be from a personal care product, soap, perfume, laundry detergent, fabric softener, or even a food you ate recently.  It the rash is really bothersome, see your physician for diagnosis and treatment.

i have two red spots on my wrist they are not painful and go away for awhile when i press on them. i haven't had these since birth. ?

Red spots: Haha ~ if  a red spot disappears when you press on it it means it is made up of tiny blood vessels and thesis called an angioma. Don't pick at them because if you break them open they bleed profusely. If you are concerned see a dermatologist thanks

Need more info: How big are they?  Do they itch?  How long have you had them?  As much as more info may help me help you, though, the best thing for skin problems is to have them looked at.  See your doctor, or go to an urgent care if worrisome.

Tough to say: The computer is not the best palce for diagnosis, especially with rashes.  Rashes can be caused by an allergic trigger (something you ate, came in contact with) or a virus or a bacterial infection, etc.  See your dr. For a visual inspection of the rash and the proper diagnosis, that way the treatment will be geared to help you best. Good luck.

Could be anything...: ...From a fungal infection to any one of several skin tumors. Only a dermatologist can tell you exactly what it is after a direct examination, and possibly a biopsy.

is this blood clots? i slept on my arm, & noticed swelling, red spots & numbness when i woke. i couldn't move my hand  & saw a bulge in my wrist vein.

DVT upper extremity: It could be a blood clot in the superficial or deep veins or both superficial and deep veins and the only way to know is to get a noninvasive scan called a Duplex venous ultrasound. I suggest that you get one as soon as possible.

Exam needed: Its recommended that you be examined by a physician urgently in order to determine whether the findings are due to allergic reaction, primary irritation/inflammation from abrasive trauma or whether there is a superimposed bacterial infection(cellulitis) which needs urgent treatment.

No one could: without a lot more detail.  However, most such things are simple bug bites or minor injuries that go away without treatment.  Not worth a lot of worrying!

Unusual: Fleeting nonitchy red spots may be due to transient dilatation of tiny blood vessels in the back of the hand which would be more blotchy. Hives or insect bites or allergic reactions last longer than an hour and are itchy. Did exposure to a change in temperature or something that came in contact with your hand  play a role?
