i have a very small red spot on my left wrist just above the vain in the middle. the spot is flat and the it looks like its my skins red underneath. there is no other rash tho its just that small red spot of red. what could this be?

More info: Three red spots could mean anything from minor insect bites to the beginning of a serious illness. I would suggest a conservative start of keeping an eye on the spots and watching, if serious symptoms develop, then seek medical attention.

Unclear : Without seeing the lesion it is hard to know. With any new rash it's important to review if you've taken any new medications or been exposed to new detergents or soaps that can be irritating. If it persists it is worth seeing your doctor to have it evaluated.

i'm on my 3rd month of accutane and i'm getting a red spot the size of a penny on my inner elbow and on the back of my hand. is this normal?

Spots: No the spots are not normal and may be a side effect of the accutane. You should report the spots to your dermatologist.

Stick: According to guidelines this would be a very low probability.  I personally have been stuck from Needle HIV patient. In this case I did or expect this to be problem .  On this episode no worry.  Remember your gloves in the future.

Spot: Sounds like a an abscess , sebaceous cyst or some type of folliculitis. Typically a lesion of this nature would need incision and drainage. I would be seen by a provider.

a 1x4 inch red spot appeared on my knee overnight; the next day same color appeared on 2/3 of the back of my right hand. they quickly turned dark brown and have stayed that way for a week. i have appt with derm in 2 wks. no other symptoms. any ideas?

Dermatologist: It's a good idea to consult a dermatologist in case more lesions appear in the future, but I wonder if these spots could have been caused by a bite from some sort of insect even though there was no itching.If no other skin spots appear a systemic cause is unlikely.
