Try hydrocortisone: Try a Hydrocortisone cream for a few days, as the majority of rashes may respond to topical steroid creams. If no resolution, than you need to see dr. For eval.  Could be fungal, or several other posssiblities and DX rashes over the computer is not truly possible.

i have a thick rash only on my left arm pit. what should i do? the rash is not one big rash. it is spred out in 4 different rashes & bright red.

Get the diagnosis: There are many types and causes of skin rashes.  Several types of inflammatory conditions of the skin, allergic reactions, and sometimes bacterial, viral or fungal infections can cause rashes on the skin. Insect bites can also be the cause of a rash on the skin.  Have it evaluated by a professional and get the appropriate treatment.

Eczema/dermatitis: A rash that is itchy and scaly is possibly eczema or ringworm (not a real worm, but a name for a fungal infection).  Rashes that come and go when it is in contact with something like a watch, rubber band/hair tie, etc can be contact dermatitis, which is due to irritated skin.  Eczema  and dermatitis can be treated with over the counter hydrocortisone cream.

Variety of Things: This could be related to clothing you have worn, a hair follicle/ingrown hair, an infection in a sweat gland, a reaction to something that touched that portion of your skin, an infection in your skin, or something else.  It is difficult to tell without more of a story/seeing the rash.

See Your Doctor: Your rash suggests a condition called Cutaneous Mastocytosis; excess mastocyte cells accumulate usually in skin &amp; release histamine; causing itching, hives, &amp; more. Can occur as single or multiple lesions, involved skin is darker in color. Stroking or other mechanical trauma to skin can cause symptoms to flare-up. Occurs in children &amp; ages 30-49 yrs.  See doctor for correct diagnosis &amp; treatment.

Red vesicular rash: 18 year old with painful burning vesicles on arm. Get a full medical history and in person physical exam ASAP. You can try a consult in your area as well. If the rash is itchy (pruritic) and painful you need to give more history. The differential is large and it could be anything from zoster to contact dermatitis to chiggers or a reaction to insect bites, bedbugs, or scabies. A picture=1k words.

Dry scaly skin: You could have eczema with the beginning of a low grade infection. See your doctor before it gets worse.

Doctor can examine: "Difficulty breathing" means a trip to see her doctor now. If she seems distressed, that means an ambulance trip (by calling 911). Difficulty breathing can be due to many different problems, and some are serious. "Purpura" is bruise-colored skin spots, and may or may not be serious, depending on why they are there. Blood tests may be needed, to see if there is a serious problem in the blood.
