i am experiencing  foot itching and toe inflammation. the following also describe me: foot redness, toe swelling, and skin rash. what should i do? it has been itching since last night. i went hiking but no one else got itchy feet.

?athlete's foot: You could consider a trial of athlete's foot spray (usually lotrimin or tinactin spray) which are active against yeasts,e.g. Candida albicans. 
It is a moist environment that allows for growth of these fungi on the skin of the feet.  Give it a try for the next few days and determine if it settles down.  Otherwise, see a physician.

Tinea: In my practice a very common cause of foot redness and itching is tinea pedis, more commonly known as "athletes foot".  The rash may appear scaly, flaky or red and commonly itches.  Topical antifungal cream may help if this is the case.

i seem to have a rash / infection on my toes. i have had athletes foot but it doesnt look like that. its on top of my toes, sometimes itchy, my skin is also slightly red/ inflamed. have been using mycota cream but it doesnt seem to help.

Go : Go to the hospital immediately. You seen to have a pretty bad infection. You could be in danger of loosing your foot or leg especially if you are diabetic. Act immediately you are playing with fire.

Rash: Rashes can be caused by a wide variety of things.  I would suspect tinea - or athlete's foot .   Your podiatrist can help with this even if it isn't tinea.

Get it examined: Such a rash can be infectious, such as fungal or even bacterial; allergic (to a medication taken internally or topically, or to somethijng the foot came into contact with), inflammatory/autoimmune (psoariasis, atopic dermatitis). Anytime a rash changes or "oozes" it should likely be examined as a secondary infection can occur regardless of what caused it at first.
