i got a vulva punch biopsy in march, dr. did not put stitches. got results back as perifolliculitis mixed with inflammation. that same weekend i got a fever and sore throat, then developed red rash in perianal area could this be from biopsy?

Likely unrelated: Unfortunately the germ causing a sore throat &amp; fever could be strep A which can &amp; does cause peri-anal infection/rash in some people. The infectious process can travel the length of your digestive system from end to end. The procedure itself did not give you the throat germ.

do i have absorbable vicyrl suture hypersensitivity 6 weeks after mohs surgery or is it because the mohs surgery stitches were in nasolabial area where i had bellafille 6 years ago? the area is red and swollen lumps under and around stitches?

: It’s a difficult answer because Bellafil should have dissolved completely After 5years.However, that filler has microspheres of a substance that sometimes get engulfed by the reaction of your body to them and they might be the red inflamed bumps or “granulomas” that you’re seeing right now. You should go to your Dermatologist and explain.He/she will tell if a steroid in the area could improve it.

Have it evaluated: It is impossible to say without being able to do a physical exam and know the results of x rays and lab studies. The cough needs evaluation in a smoker because of the high risk of major lung issues. See a doctor soon.

Eczema: Those areas are the common place of eczema in children. You can try over the counter Hydrocortisone cream a few times a day. Use a lot of moisturizer and visit a local physician if it does not go away.

Hard to say: If localized only to the back we think of factors that would put it there,like laying down on a wool mat or wearing a shirt with a colored decal in that location. Much of rash assessment is visual, so since I can't see it and we can't view it on the public site I must leave it a puzzle.

Normal: SAs long as there is no swelling, redness, rash, eczema or any other appearance that looks strange it is a normal thing that affects many people especially on the back. It is sometimes called essential pruritus. Sometimes an over the counter hydrocortisone cream helps to relieve the itching

good day doctor. last sunday my son got injured, they had to give him stitches. we took out the stitches over the weekend. the wound pulled open, and now its very red around the wound. should i take him back or is it normal?

Red around: This needs to be seen by a doctor. It very well may be infected. Sometimes people use triple ointment antibiotic cream on a wound and develop a skin allergy to the cream which seems like an infection
