Uncertain: Rectal bleeding may have a # of causes to include: hemorrhoids, anal fissure, fistula, polyp, cancer, or inflammation or infection of GI tract.  Your  physician can help to determine the cause.

See a GI doctor: And do this soon.  This can be infectious, inflammatory bowel disease, tumor, and so on and so on.  Go see somebody soon and be evaluated.  Hope this clears up quickly, but even if it does not you should undergo an evaluation and make sure there is nothing requiring intervention..

i had black smelly soft stool, the first part of my stool was regular brown, firm. followed by semi liquid black tar like stool. the night before i'd drunk two glasses of (red) malbec wine.. over there past few weeks my stools have been more light coloure

Possible melena?: If in setting of alcohol, NSAID/aspirin use, etc may be higher likelihood that the described stool was melena, often caused by significant bleeding in upper GI tract, most often from ulcer. This would clearly require MD attention - would need more info, of course. Seek MD esp if re flags e.g. weakness/dizziness, nausea/vomit, fever, weight loss.

too many nuts cause loose stools, and red color? little chunks of red? i don't think it's blood, since it doesn't seem to be a liquid. suggestions??

Red in stool: If you recently ate a red-appearing material, then you may have rapid intestinal transit resulting in the food's inadequate digestion.  However, be concerned since blood clots may also appear as red blobs.  Bleeding in such a case can be without warning, brisk, &amp; originate anywhere in the gut (from esophagus, stomach, to rectum. Don't hesitate to seek confirmation &amp; care.

for gi doc please. had good colonoscopy this month-5/12. yesterday saw 2 very tiny red liquid specs of surface of stool. stool color normal. had pizza 4 days prior. can pizza cause red liquid on surface after 4 days?

: I'm sure that your gastroenterologist wouldn't attribute the red liquid specs on top of your stool to the pizza unless you ate lots of red pepper or a huge amount if tomatoes on it. Otherwise these could have been very tiny amounts of blood from hemorrhoids or a small anal fissure. In any case it's not a serious issue. If these specs continue a simple stool test in the MD's office can detect blood

Insufficient bile: Usually, when there are problems with the gall bladder or liver, insufficient bile excretion may  lead to fatty stools. Food may pass through without being adequately digested. Inflammatory bowel conditions, such as ulcerative colitis , may be associated with oily , greasy or bloody stools, which may appear orange in color. It is important to make sure that there is no blood in the stools. Thanks.

i have had the liquid stools bright yellow for almost 3 days. im seeing these little black balls separate from my stools should i be worried?

: How many times a day? any fever, pain, cramping?  Would follow up for stool culture, complete metabolic profile , assessment of gallbladder ( labs testdsand ultrasound looking for stones) and testing for gastritis/ H pylori as well as pancreatic sufficiency. F/u/ w/ MD
