i have a dark red dot on my lower lip it does not hurt. its not a bubble or blister .i want to cure it could someone help.

Leave it alone: This may be a small hemagiona. It can be treated if  you want it off, but you will need professional care. See a derm doc if you want it off.

Herpes Simplex?: Abreva is an over the counter medication used to treat cold sores. Abreva will shorten the healing time. If the sores get worse or do not go away make an appointment with a doctor.

Ointment or dentist: Check with your dentist to find the cause of the redness, then you can find the proper treatment.

Redness: Redness can be the result of friction or inflammation from a number of rashes such as eczema.  If the area becomes tender and a blister appears the possibility of a cold sore exists. See a dermatologist if the condition does not improve with moisturizing the area.

i have 4 stitches just below my lower lip from the accident 270oct 2017. the other 3 stitches have healed nicely except 1.
this one is so painful in a way that i cant event touch it. it has some redness a swelling. i seek advice on treating this?

Specialist can help: A facial laceration, after healing, can trap stuff inside the wound. Sometimes, surface skin cells got trapped under the skin. Over time, the cells multiply and form a cyst under the skin, which should be removed. Sometimes, a foreign object (plastic, metal, wood, etc.) is trapped under the skin and causes chronic inflammation, and needs to be removed. An ENT or facial plastic surgeon can help.

had impetigo and used mupirocin2% three weeks ago. left with redness and lower lip is itchy but no signs of blisters. is it back?

Maybe not: If the redness is a little less (improving) each day, it may be "post-inflammatory" redness that gradually goes away after the impetigo heals. If crusting or oozing returns, then the doctor can look to see if the infection has returned. Many people get blisters on a lip that are cold sores, instead of impetigo. Cold sores are caused by viruses (mupirocin doesn't work on those viruses).

Time: Keep the area clean and don't mess with it anymore.  The more you touch it, the greater the chances of infection.  Hope this helps!

The melanocytes are cells that produce melanin and some people can have brown pigmentation in the lips, as well as the tissues of the mouth.
