Need much more info: Rashes are sooooo hard to diagnose without looking at them, but further info to even try and narrow it down includes history or any new exposures, foods, soaps, detergents. Does rash itch, burn, hurt. Are there open sores, drainage. Size of bumps, do they come and go. Anywhere else at all on body, just not as many?  The questions go on, but these are some of the essentials to help try and diagnose.

Several types of inflammatory conditions of the skin, allergic reactions, and sometimes bacterial, viral or fungal infections can cause rashes on the skin. Insect bites can also be the cause of a rash on the skin.  Have it evaluated by a professional and get the appropriate treatment.

Eosinophils : The bumps are due to release of eosinophils during the hot shower,  almost like an allergic reaction, but the are harmless and it will resolve.

This : This is one of those situations where "a picture is worth a thousand words"--really needs to be seen by a medical professional.  Eczema is common in children and can occur on trunk and extremities.  Topical moisture with heavier, cream-type moisturizers is best for eczema.  If it does not resolve, it may require topical prescription medication.  But a quick "eyeball" visit will clarify the issue.

Derm problems: Dermatological problems are very difficult to diagnosis without actually seeing the problem. If the er is correct in the diagnosis, allergic conditions are not contagious. Most creams used to treat allergic reactions are steroid creams. If one cream does not work, stronger creams are usually available. See your doctor to confirm the diagnosis and to discuss the possibility of a stronger cream.

Seek an allergist to identify the culprit, if there is one

It can sometimes present as blisters.  It's important that you come in and have it examined!  some other differentials can be an allergic reaction or an infection.  Don't delay on getting it checked.

Allergic reaction: These may be hives. A generalized allergic reaction to something external or internal is likely. Think of what you ate ,used or handled shortly before this reaction. Take an antihistamine like benadryl(can cause drowsiness) or claritin(nondrowsy), but I feel benadryl would be more effective. A dermatologist or allergist should be consulted if you get no relief.
