It depends: This depends on what is causing the "non-epilepsy general seizure."  seizures from alcohol withdrawal for instance, can be "cured" by going through alcohol detox and then staying away from alcohol.  If a brain tumor is causing the seizure, this needs to be treated specifically.  Many other things can cause seizures, and treating these causes is necessary to avoid further episodes.

i had a ovarian teratoma/ encephalitis had alot of seizures n now my memory sucks n i dnt think i will be able to attend school will i recover?

S/p teratoma/encepha: F/u with  neurologist  may consider neuropsychological testing  .Also ask about Provigil  that may improve alertness and concentration and go over you medications some like topamax (topiramate) have a larger effect on cognitive function. Do not stop any medication until you have discussed it with your doctor you do not want to start seizing.  If you can write  to health tap you are  intelligent and able.

Kids are resilient..: Without knowing any of the details, it is impossible to say. In general, children have an amazing capacity to recover from adverse events. The child's doctors can hopefully give some guidance as to what to expect, but sometimes all we can do is provide supportive care and hope that the child recovers. Time will tell. I hope she gets better soon.

high shbg (90) caused by taking depakote, which i discontinued months ago (seizure-free), for 20 years. will my liver ever recover?

Possible: There are many different factors involved including other mediations, the health of your gall bladder, or whether you have a fatty liver, etc  If you stop the Depakote and take no other meds or alcohol your liver usually within a year will heal itself  So continue a good diet and monitor your other meds , avoid alcohol, and recheck every 6 months

i'm recovering from possible flu. ive had occular migraines 3 times today with headache, and had an episode of my eyes crossing . seizure?

Migraines: Ocular migraines can be associated with eye movement abnormalities. However, you should see your doctor, so that you can have a complete physical, including a detailed eye exam to include your fundi, to ensure there is no evidence of increased intracranial pressure or intraocular abnormalities.

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex. 
Get HPV vaccine

head injury when i was 20, had subdural hematoma, now 28 smell/taste is still not what it was but overall fully recovered great. should i get a checkup with neuro even though i'm not having any issues? only stayed 1 night in hospital and no seizures

Try zinc: Most common reason for this is that small nerves from the brain come through a bone with holes (Imagine a grater) at the top,of the nose (cribiform plate ).  If this moves suddenly it amputates these olfactory a sore and you lose smell and taste. See a neurologist so this can be tested, or you can get a q tip and some scents and test yourself.  Cannot grow back.  Zinc supplement trial in order.

Causes include head injury, brain infections, brain tumors, toxins or poisons, usage or discontinuation or alcohol or recreational drugs, medication reactions, problems with blood sugar or other chemicals, etc.
