my face feels like pins and needles around my chin. i can't think of any reason why it would be this way. i recently started a body cleanse.

Tooth problem: if on one side (infection spread to alveolar nerve which is branch of the trigeminal nerve ) Other things can do this but are less common (Pagets disease of bone, multiple myeloma etc)

Nerve problem: These sensations are usually related to a nerve  problem.  It could be as simple as too much pressure along the course of a nerve or it may be the sign of a more serious problem. Formal evaluation is usually necessary to elucidate the cause of this problem.

i get pins and needles in my hands everday....i used to do boxing for 17 years coild this be reason?

Refer to answer: You may have carpal tunnel syndrome, +/-  disc in your neck. You may want to try over the door cervical traction with 10 lbs for 10 minutes/day(can obtain from surgical supply stores).Avoid more than 10 lbs push, pull , and lift. Also buy vits b650 mg, B12 500 mcg, and 400 mcg per day. If do not get better within two weeks refer to you doctor for metabolic, thyroid, arthritis, and gout work up.

Peripheral : Neuropathy may be starting in your feet. Which can be caused by diabetes, vitamin b deficiency,  arthritis,  etc. Diabetes is the most common cause, please have your blood sugars checked.

physio says si joint pain can cause nerve pain down leg and be reason for my pins n needles it foot, doc says pain doesn't go below knee, who's right?

SI joint pain &amp; nerv: Normally SI joint pain does not radiate to the foot.  I would not generally guess that SI joint pain and nerve dysfunction occurred together.

Neurologic: This symptom is likely neurologic.  Carpal tunnel syndrome will often present this way.  May need to see your doctor for further evaluation and treatment.

Multiple: This could a signal of several problems and formal evaluation by a physician is needed. A common cause can be a pinched nerve.

my left ankle and foot suddenly swelled up for no apparent reason. it isn't hot or anything and doesn't hurt it just feels itchy so like pins and needles. can i wait to see doctor on tuesday at my prenatal appointment?

: I think you should see a doctor prior to next Tuesday. One etiology would be a blood clot and you don’t want to miss that diagnosis. Perhaps you can call your doctor to see if you can be seen sooner or perhaps you can see your GP. You can also go to the ER for diagnosis and treatment. Best of luck to you!

Ankle: This should have healed up in a short time. You are still having symptoms suggestive of a persistent sympathetic component. PLease see a pain doctor to be assessed.

Many possible dx: There are several possible causes. I would advise a screening test for Diabetes. If you have any hot/cold sensation in your hands/feet, please bring this to the attention of your physician as well. They will discuss whether your symptoms could represent peripheral nervous system involvement.
