Not applicable: Sex during healthy menstruation will not increase bleeding unless there is a reason for abnormal bleeding.

Possible weight gain: Your change in Medes could be due to your weight gain if you have a tendency to develop Polycystic ovary syndrome or you developing a  thyroid condition.If you are on hormonal contraception,this could be another reSon, although you didnt mention contraceptive use.

Lack of ovulation is one possible cause of infertility.  When you're ready, start trying and if no conception in 6-12 months, see your doctor.

It may not mean anything specific.: If your menstrual periods are still regular, it may not mean anything specific. On the other hand some hormonal disorders such as PCOS and hyperthyroidism may result in changes in menstrual flow. If you are on birth control pills and have changed to a different estrogen preparation this can also be a factor. At age 31 I am not suspecting premature menopause without other history. Suggest GYN eval.

Depends: on the stage of pregnancy. For the very earliest pregnancy... not much difference. In second trimester, comparison is probably better to birth (less bleeding with abortion than full term pregnancy) than to a period.
