Not sure: Will just have to wait till birth to do full examination. Could be a growth defect limited to just that femur. Prognosis will depend upon orthopedic evaluation after birth.

While: it is true that short femurs are typical of Down syndrome, and  long femurs would make it less likely, given some of the limitations of US, femur length alone  is probably not sufficient to rule it out.

Soft marker,: A femur length that is shorter than expected has been used as a soft marker for certain genetic conditions, such as trisomy 21 (Down syndrome), trisomy 13 (Patau syndrome) and trisomy 18 (Edward's syndrome). More testing of actual chromosomes would be needed to be sure.

: This report is reassuring. The difference between your gestational age and what is measured is not significant. If you are being monitored because of some specific concern about the pregnancy, continued monitoring is still indicated.

Yes.: These measurements (sometimes including the biparietal diameter) generally gives an accurate gestational age (with in 5- 7 days) up to about 20 weeks gestational age. After 20 weeks the margin of error starts increasing.

Genetics: Unless there is a problem with the uterus itself, almost always the pregnancy is genetically abnormal. That has been known for a very long time. Some women even at a young age can have that problem. It takes advanced fertility therapy to diagnosis and fix that problem. Although there are some other possibilities likely blood clotting disorders for instance, genetics is the most common explanation.

cardiac cath last year. 2days ago site (femoral) started to really hurt bad again. coumadin (warfarin) was above 3.0. any connection. reason for concern about pn?

Get it looked at: It's hard to imagine that a cardiac cath site from last year is now bleeding when it was fine before. Depending on the reason you are on coumadin, (warfarin) inr of 3 is not that high. Patients with mechanical mitral valves need inr around 3.5.  But sudden pain in the femoral region continuing for 2 days should get seen by your doctor. It could be something else. And though unlikely i'm not saying impossible.

could being born with a femoral anteversion and minor clubbed feet be the reason why i walk pigeon-toed?

YES: Influence from the internal rotation at the hip, turns the leg.   Combined with a "club foot", it can result in the pigeon-toe (in-toe) of your foot.  If you are having discomfort, i recommend that you be evaluated and have a proper biomechanical/gait examination.  See a podiatrist.  If additional specialists are needed for referral, a good gait exam by the podiatrist can start the process.
