A corticosteroid...: ...called "fluticasone" is one of the ingredients of Advair. Corticosteroids are well known for causing temporary rises in white blood cell counts (leukocytosis). However, typically advair does not cause much effect on the bodies other systems, since it is inhaled and most concentrated in the lungs. High WBC counts can also be a sign of infection or inflammation somewhere in the body.

Infection.: Leukocytosis=increased white blood cells, and neutrophilia=mostly neutrophils which fight bacterial infection. They are also increased with inflammation, and even smoking. Other types of white blood cells make up a smaller % of the total when neutrophils are increased. So you could have a mild infection, inflammation, or you're a smoker. I hope that helps!

Leukocytosis: Relative leukocytosis can be produced by any condition that causes increased levels of catecholamines like epinephrine, because this causes release of the WBCs from where they are adherent to the walls of the blood vessels. It is not a true increase, but change in disposition.  Allergies do have the potential to actually produce an increase in WBCs, often eosinophils.
