But it doesn't specify why this the case.  It could be related to an infection, or from an autoimmune process(like ulcerative colitis) or from low blood flow to the intestinal tract.

No: The fecal test is normally performed to  examine for trace blood to  detect presence of a neoplasm.  The stool itself is composed of shed colonocytes, bacterial , food particles and bile pigment.  The bacteria comprise the microbiome of the intestine and if not perfect may contain an occassioanl yeast and WBC cell. Trace blood can always be found at a microscopic level. No GI work up needed.

CT findings :  To answer that it should be understood that test results are taken into account with the things the patients, says, the examination, lab tests, and all other diagnostic tests.  This results can be associated with bacterial overgrowth in the GI tract

Is baby sick: It depends on why the stool test was done and how the baby is.  In general, pus (WBC cells), also known as fecal leukocytes are an indication of infection.  Is the baby having diarrhea or bloody stools?  If so, a stool culture is usually indicated and what bugs are found determine if antibiotics are needed.  Certain bugs dont need treatment.  Generally NO, probiotics wont treat infection.

: Depends on etiologic organism.  Positive  stool occult blood and leukocytes suggest bacterial infection as a cause of diarrhea in febrile infant.  In this clinical scenario, stool sample and blood specimen are submitted for bacterial culture for positive identification.

No good stool test: No good stool test exists at present to dx colon cancer.  That is why colonoscopy still employed.  Cologuard is a stool test that measures gene mutations and can suggest the potential for eventually or possibly developing the disease but not whether it is already present.  We have shown that a stool ELISA measuring the protein mutated MUC5ac will indicate whether cancer is or is not present.

More testing: With diarrhea, blood in the stool and pus (inflammation), an infection is the most likely diagnosis. There are other infections that need to be excluded but a colonoscopy may need to be considered to exclude other things (inflammatory bowel disease, malignancy).

If you mean: Mcv that is mean cell volume, and low means the average size of the rbcs are small.  If you are referring to hct then that means anemia.
