i have red spots/rash on both sides of my torso from under chest to top of my hips . they do not itch, no puss, no fever, no difficulty breathing. some of the spots look like they have a white head. no new laundry soap?

: If localized only to the back we think of factors that would put it there,like laying down on a wool mat or wearing a shirt with a colored decal in that location. Much of rash assessment is visual, so since I can't see it and we can't view it on the public site I must leave it a puzzle.

my toddler has a rash on his armpits/sides of his torso. it doesn't seem to be anywhere else. i'm pregnant,early 1st trimester. should i be concerned?

Needs to be checked: Your baby needs to be seen by pediatrician. It's difficult to give you a proper advise without having a diagnosis of the above mentioned rash first.

last week wednesday (10th of feb) i went snorkeling and came out with a rash along the right side of my torso. it was a little ichy. it slowly looked like it was going away but now (last 2 days) has got itchy and sore.  looks like shingles?

: Contact dermatitis is one possible cause. After seeing urgent care or your PCP, discuss topical antihistamine and steroid cream to control itching. Rule out infection and other causes. Watch for respiratory distress.

i've a rash that looks like insect bites (around 70) mainly on my torso (both sides). feels like bruises, very tender, aching under them. any ideas?!

Dermatologist: That would be a huge amount of insect bites and you would have noticed them long before 70 occurred. Tenderness and aching are also unusual features. I recommend a consultation with a dermatologist for proper diagnosis and treatment. A viral illness like pityriasis rosea could be present.

i believe i have shingles. lower back burning pain and rash presented apx 1.5 wks later, which spread around my torso (rt side). i have developed small lumps under the skin where the pain originated. could this be lymph swelling? it is 3/4 down back?

: What you mean by glandular is unknown. The shingles label may be correct. It is triggered by re-emergence of the varicella virus along the path of the nerve root where it has been hibernating. The body eventually renews its immune resistance to this viral process &amp; it fades. There are meds that help it fade faster.

i just woke up 5 circular rashes, 1/4in or so in each, a couple of them are rings. faint pink with no scale/bumps. my gf had similar grow to cover her torso after blood medication in the last 6 months?

Need more info: You should see a doctor asap.  Bring all your meds with you and a list of any and all products you are using otc (including skin lotions, shampoos, etc.).  The eruption needs to be seen to be diagnosed, but because it has the potential to become much worse would see, preferably a dermatologist, asap.

Urticaria: Hives on  trunk along with mouth and gums is an immune or allergic reaction to an antigen. An allergic reaction could be to foods, food additives and flavoring agents, medications including herbal agents and chemicals. Immune reactions are more common, most common being to viral infections. Over the counter antihistamines such as Claritin or Benadryl (diphenhydramine) have helped many patients. Consult your doctor.
