ive been getting big rashes on my leg and arm. theyre kind of round and kind of clear in the middle. its not fungus because medication did nothing. they start as a bump, itchy and turn into a rash. they last for months and the itch is unbearable?

: This has to be examined and possibly tested(culture etc) before an accurate diagnosis can be made and the treated. Pl see a dermatologist. In the meantime use an antibacterial soap to bathe. Hope you do well.

Rash: There are different causes of a rash that you describe.  It could be tinea ( fungus), nummular eczema, urticaria, figurate erythema, insect bites, contact dermatitis,  actinic porokeratosis  (less like because of your age) , xerosis, to mention a few. It is worthwhile to see a dermatologist for a definitive diagnosis.

i got a steroid shot yesterday for strep  in l arm. 18 hours later my l arm is red and warm and my left shin has a reddish rash, normal???

No: You could very well be developing a cellulitis of the left arm. Steroids are not typically given for treatment of a strep infection as they reduce the ability to fight off infection by suppressing the immune system. Rash could be result of bacteremia you need to get it evaluated.

Rash: Yeast infection is common is areas of the body that  is moist like inner thighs, arm pits. See you physician. If it a yeast infection it will require antifungal topical medication and keeping the area dry.

Hello. : Hello. I can't diagnose your symptoms.  A cut which has remained open and is oozing with an itchy rash around it might be infected. When did you have your last tenatus shot? I am answering this five days after you wrote in. If it is still problematic, recommend that you get it assessed. Heat, redness, swelling, red streaks, pus, fever can all be signs of an infection. Check to see if you need to get you tenatus updated. Take care.

Rash: Take pictures! it can really help when you are at the doctor and the rash is gone. I wonder if you are experiencing hives and angioedema which might have been a cause for the right side abdominal and back pain. Keep a rash and swelling diary and see an allergist.
