Probably fungal: Given the location of your rash, this may be a fungal infection. Try some lotrimin (clotrimazole) (antifungal)
also take measures to reduce moisture in these areas.

my 9 year old son has a rash on his right wrist and left elbow bend. it came on then subsided. it is back. it is very itchy.

Eczema possibly: Due to location and itching and on and off most likely eczema, but hard to tell without seeing it. i suggested making a consult and we can help you. In general for eczema use fragrance free products (detergents, shampoo, soap), no softeners, use moisturizer every day (fragrance free) and a steroid cream can help on the patch that is worse, but i would suggest a consult to verify it is eczema.

Evaluation: Rashes are largely visual things.  You should be seen and have the rash evaluated.

approximatey 3 weeks ago i was stung on the inside of my elbow (in the bend) by what appeared to be a sweat bee.  i immediately applied alcohol to the sting.  it has itched in that area every day since the sting and i apply alcohol each time it itches.  yesterday a cluster of 12-15 small bumps appeared in the area of the sting.  i am looking for advice on how to treat the area as it itches also.  thank you.

rash possibly related to sweat bee sting?

Eczema : Eczema and psoriasis are common but there are other diseases that could be causing this.

Eczema: If the rash is on the folds, it is likely to be eczema and it is not related to teething. Moisturize your child's skin regularly and see an allergist to determine what your child is allergic to.

Could be: It could be eczema, or a contact dermatitis, or insect bites, or a fungus infection ("ringworm").  A dermatologist will know.

Possibly: You might have ringworm; it's impossible to diagnose a skin disorder without seeing it.  Consider seeing a dermatologist, or another primary care doc.  Try to be as specific as possible about when/where the rashes start.  Take pictures if they'll disappear before your doctor sees them!  "google" them by describing them just like you did, and hit "images".  Bring the info to your doc and ask.

my baby is 3 months old and has reddish rashes on her cheeks, elbows, and knees.  is it just eczema?

Probably, but: I would not blow it off.  Many infants are allergic to a food that is causing the rash.  Getting an allergy evaluation to determine if a food is related to the rash may help to dramatically improve the rash once the food culprit is eliminated from the diet.
