Where do you live?: If you live in South Africa- you will need to be screened by a doctor first. If you live in the US, the policy varies by state.  Some states require a dr.'s referral &amp; some don't.  Can call PCM  or our use telemedicine if one believes they should be tested.

how is a pap test done? what steps?

Pelvic exam: A pap is one part of a routine pelvic exam and testing. You will be undressed from the waist down and laying on a table with your bottom on the edge and your legs positioned in "stirrups." the doctor examines the area, inserts a speculum gently and collects the pap with a swab that touches your cervix. It may be awkward but is not painful and is important to prevent cervical cancer.

Allergy skin test: After the allergist reviews the history and performs an exam the skin test process includes:  cleansing the area to be tested with alcohol (back or arms), pressing allergy test device (containing drop of allergen) firmly to the skin for 2 seconds, waiting 20 minutes, then measuring the size of the wheal (bump) and flare (surrounding redness). The area is then wiped clean.  Answer in 20 minutes!

Long answer: This would be a long answer. But basically dsa is performed in a suite with x-ray. A catheter is placed unto the artery usually from the groin. You will be sedated some. X-ray contrast is injected into artery in the area of the  to be evaluated. The x-ray will take a movie of the contract in the artery as it moves. At the end the catheter will be removed and pressure held till the bleeding stops.
