is it okay to take rolaids in between my morning and nightly dose of zantac (ranitidine) during pregnancy? just taking zantac (ranitidine) alone doesn't seem to work.

Depends...: What are you treating? If just indigestion, then antacids consumed 1 ; 3 hours after a meal and at bedtime may be helpful in the majority of patients, but may be too high a dose for a pregnant one. Don't know what your zantac (ranitidine) dose is either, ; perhaps with consent from your obstetrician this medication can be optimized. Stick with gerd diet and behavior restrictions (see prior healthtap answers.

Yes: Zantac (ranitidine) is a good drug to prevent acid reflux over time. It does not work immediately though. Tums are good for immediate relief of acid reflux but it does not help with long term prevention. Both are safe for use in pregnancy

i am taking fexet d and zantac (ranitidine) tablets twice time in a day. i crush tablets in mouth to swallow.it is safe method or not. what are its side effects.

it depend of medicat: I take few medication myself some are so bitter if i  do not swallow it right away. Other ones like asa 81 you can chew with different tastes of fruits. As general when is in powder or crushed form will absorb quickly for mixing check the guide in the box if the drug are compatible.

No-discuss w ur doc: These two medicines are of the same class and should not be taken together. More is not necessarily better and increases risk of side effects. If breakthrough symptoms, should consider switch to different class such as proton pump inhibitors but be sure to discuss w your doctor to be sure underlying cause and potential complications have been sought. Maybe: There are a few different medications used for causing  abortions.  Without knowing which one you are using,  I am limited in my response.  Some cause birth defects and change the way the ovaries work.  Some doctors think too many abortions may cause difficulties carrying future pregnancies.  If you are having sex that much, why not use  something to prevent  pregnancy?

Emergency contracept: Anyone having intercourse without birth control or condoms may get pregnant. If intercourse was within 72 hours you consider taking plan b. Ella (ulipristal acetate) is another brand that can be used up to 5 days after unprotected intercourse. Plan b is a high dose of birth control to disrupt the hormonal patterns to delay or prevent ovulation. Abnormal bleeding after is common. Check  preg test in 10 days.

Alzheimers: Although not definitive there are a number of studies that link Aluminum to Alzheimers. For my own use when I cook out using some Aluminum foil is likely a risk that I do not find an issue. I would be cautious about daily use of aluminum foil.
