why do i hiccup once randomly multiple times a day every day? i also noticed my dad does the same thing.. not sure if its a hereditary thing or what?

Not sure: what you mean by "squeaks" but there are small mucous plugs in the lungs on occasion which partially block the bronchial tubes and cause a "squeak". 
If this is what it is a couple of deep breaths followed by a cough should get rid of them

Doctor can evaluate: It unknown why people get hiccups. There is no sure way to stop hiccups, although people try techniques such as: drinking water, holding one's breath, getting scared, putting sugar on the tongue, etc... Medication is tried in non-stop cases that interfere with one's life. A doctor can evaluate for disorders that can be irritating the diaphragm's nerves or otherwise be bothering the diaphragm.

hiccups: Hiccups happen when your diaphragm, the muscle that separates your chest from your belly. Suddenly contracts.  You take in air and then your voice box closes shut--the"hic" sound. Swallowing air (chewing gum) fizzy drinks are likely causes.  Try holding your breath for several seconds or stimulate the back of your throat by swallowing a teaspoon of sugar.  Most hiccups are harmless.

HICCUPH: Sudden irritation of diaphragm is the main cause of hiccuph. In your baby the cause can be from swallowed air, feeding too fast, too much intake in each feed or gastro-esophageal reflux disease.
Feed every 3 hours in upright position before s/he becomes too hungry, so that baby doesn't eat too fast, burp up in the middle and after feeding, use tummy time. Talk to the pediatrician in next visit.
