If the bone doctor decide based on the X Ray that there is no other way but to replace the head they preceded without any wait.that is why it depend on the X Ray and the bone doctor reviewing the X Ray good luck

Elbow pain: from a radial head displacement and surgery may take quite a wile to heal.  Be consistent and vigilant with your therapy so the joint will not become "frozen'  The pain will gradually decrease and the ROM may become close to normal.

: A nerve injury due to a broken elbow can cause wrist and hand weakness but it should not cause the swollen fingers. You probably have a hand injury at the same time. You should be re-examined and may need to have X-ray of the wrist &amp; hand done.

Possibly: Unclear to me what the issue is, however if persistent clicking is present following a radial head fracture it could be related to plri or an intra-articular loose body.  Examination and imaging should be able to determine this.  Surgery to "rule-out" plri is not  recommended.  If plri is present, reconstruction of the ligament should be considered.

I think that you need to have it scoped and the ortho surgeon can definitely see what is going on and see what needs to be done next while in the or.  

A good surgeon will give you a few of the likely possibilities in the office beforehand.
