No major effect: I wouldn't expect any major effects other than a bit of grumpiness. If you're currently in a hypomanic phase, this effect could possibly be exacerbated but you probably won't notice much difference if you're taking your meds regularly.

i just quit nicotine cold turkey is it normal to have throat pains? not so much a sore throat but it feels like it could tight and also kinda bump.

Not really: Throat pain is kind of unusual to be symptom of nicotine withdrawal. For the first 3-4 days symptoms like restlessness, appetite change, weight change, insomnia, anxiety, poor concentration can be prevalent and it tends to get better after 3-4 weeks. See a doctor if your throat is still hurting to see if there is an infection. Good luck !!

i quit smoking a few days ago cold turkey and haven't used any nicotine products since. is there any way to get it out of my body faster? like detox?

Depending on the: type of tobacco used, (cigarettes, chewing, etc.) nicotine can leave the body in hours or up to a month.  More importantly, the oral, social, and habitual aspects of smoking need to be addressed.  Chew gum, mints, take breaks w/out the excuse of smoking.  Peace and good health.

No right answer: What ever works is the best way to go.  cold turkey may be right for some but is hard.  If there is an oral fixation as part of your habit the substitutes may be of benefit.

Quitting Nicotine: This is easy. Most people do not quit at first on their own. They relapse and relapse and relapse and relapse.  Many people are now socialized to think that they are not 'strong' enough to quit without nicotine replacement.  I am sorry if your physician failed to teach you the realities, but many physicians have a full discussion about this before making recommendations.

Research is mixed: The research on this is mixed. The journal tobacco control indicates that nicotine gum or patches aren’t any more effective than going cold turkey over the long-term. Yes : It is safe but important as to why they were started to begin with. You may have multiple medical problems such as diabetes or lipid disorder for which you take this. What about early familial heart disease. Think about it prior to stopping.
