NO: Commonly known as Ritalin (methylphenidate) metabolized and excreated as retalinic acid .  Best advise if under going drug screening have to be truthful , if legally taking amphetamine derivative medications  indicate it . If positive will not be punished if it is is a legal  prescription .

been taking 20 mg lexapro (escitalopram) for almost 4 weeks now. have started to feel very tired and dizzy. also taking quillivant xr. do i need to lower my lexapro (escitalopram)?

Maybe: at 4 weeks on the same dose, i would have expected the symptoms you describe to have disappeared and not appeared. Talk with your doctor about reducing the lexapro (escitalopram) and seeing if that helps. but a lesser dose might not be effective in alleviating your symptoms. It's possible another med may be needed

Yes: If you switched to a dose of Quillivant equivalent to Ritalin (methylphenidate) LA, yoiu should switch back to Ritalin (methylphenidate) LA.  Quillivant is a liquid and you may be absorbing it differently than Ritalin (methylphenidate) LA which is a bead technology.

Yup: Adderall xr, concerta, daytrana, vyvanse, quillivant, strattera intuniv, Kapvay are longer acting.  If the onset is slow, the crash is minimal.  Which is right for you must be determined by you and your doctor.  Focalin (dexmethylphenidate) (both forms), Ritalin sr, metadate (all forms) are shorter acting more "crashable" than above.  Eating or exercising at the anticipated crash time can mitigate the symptoms some.

In adults a trial of both may be suggested if there is some side effect that is uncomfortable.
