history of anxiety and panic attacks. had holter and echo done, isolated pvcs, tachycardia. now am pregnant, and feeling the heart at rest up to 117, walking or taking stairs very high. im so nervous, i dont know if still my anxiety, pregnancy, both?

i've been having pvc's for the last 5 days in a row, yesterday i had them all day. i am 4 weeks and 3 days pregnant. should i be concern or this is another sign of pregnancy? thanks.

PVCs and pregnant: This is a hard question without additional information.  I would ask you to consult your ob.  This is not normal.  Potential causes include too much caffeine, nicotine (hopefully your not smoking and pregnant), dehydration and mitral valve prolapse.  Given this is pregnancy three for you, i presume this is new for you.  This too increases my concern.  Control for common causes and see an ob.

i'm 4 weeks 4 days pregnant, i am low in magnesium for so i've been having pvc's. how dangerous this could be for the baby or myself? thanks.

Depends: Magnesium levels drops slightly in most pregnancies.  Mildly low magnesium usually doesn't cause a major problem for you or your baby and its easy to resolve with magnesium supplements.  

A more severe magnesium deficiency can be serious because you can have heart beat arrhythmias, abnormalities of calcium metabolism and neuromuscular problems like seizures and coma that are life threatening.

can a lot of pvcs on a 48 hour holter monitor after pregnancy be a sign of peripartum cardiomyopathy?

EKG, echocardiogram,: would be better way to detect.  PVCs not such a good way to diagnose that.

would having 3.7cm dilated ascending aorta, pvc and hypertension stop me from getting pregnant.

Not likely: Not likely if everything is well controlled and under physician supervision.

i'm 8 months pregnant, is it safe to have an epidural for childbirth if my blood pressure is always low 90/55? and i have pvc?

: This is best decided by your delivering doc in consultation with the anesthesiologist. Other factors may weigh in on the decision they  will know from the rest of your history/exam and tests.

i'm 40 years old, have heart issues (pvc, murmur, low blood pressure) anemia and hypoglycemia. i'm also obese and my height is only 4'5", i'm 9 months pregnant and they want me to have a c-section because my baby is sitting, will my life be at risk?

: In skilled hands the risks of c-section delivery for the mother are similar to those of vaginal delivery. Recovery time is longer. The risk to a breach baby is far less than that of a vaginal birth.

Need more info: Many people get occasional PVCs. If the heart is structurally normal &amp; healthy, these extra beats are not necessarily concerning, but we assess the risk of a sustained tachycardia (e.g., those ventricular beats happening in a series) which could be dangerous. How many PVCs, the number of origin sites &amp; the tendency to happen in a row (e.g., with couplets, triplets or runs) may help determine risk.

Who Do You Ask: To most people, the answer would be "no." you'd figure out what chamber they come from and leave it at that. I and my colleagues specialize in heart rhythms (electrophysiology) and to us, there are at least a half-dozen varieties, which we group on how to approach them for treatment. On a cellular level, there are also a couple of ways the extra beat starts, which could be another way to view it.

can hyperventilation cause pvc's?

Most Dr's think so: This seems to be a connection with little or no disagreement. Hyperventilation is just not a good thing for people to do for any extended time and the effects can be found throughout many systems. There are several ways you can train to breath properly - meditation, yoga, martial arts, relaxation training, etc. You'll be able to find a therapeutic path that fits your needs. Best!
