i have i week old road rash from bicycle crash. healing well, on rx antibiotic. very dry,burns extremely bad when i stand after siting. use lotion?

Well, yes, but: dermatologic conditions are hard to discuss without seeing them and you'd want to watch for infection. Tightness occurs mostly when it is healing correctly. The ingredients in lotions and antibiotic cremes overlap significantly, and would moisturize but still protect from infection.

having allergic reaction to hemerrhoid cream. burning skin between vagina & anus and now rash along where i put hemerrhoid treatment. what to do ??

Rinse area with: water and do not use any of the cream and see your doctor to see if it is an allergic reaction or possibly herpes.

i had used a hair removing cream on my vagina. i removed it after 5 min. it was bleeding.now it's itching vd  rashes.need help. i feel there is some swelling as well. can i use vaseline or any other cream to as it as rashes and burning sensation.

I : I would recommend taking advil (ibuprofen) if you can tolerate advil with no problems, and taking Benadryl (diphenhydramine) by mouth may help. Be sure all of the cream has been washed off completely. You could try a soothing cream such as vagisil also.  If this doesn't help then you may need to be seen.

if you have a rash like contact dermatitis and put steroid cream on it and it goes away, should you discontinue the cream or continue for a few days, similar to how you might continue to take an antibiotic after you start to feel better?

: Most localized rashes represent a local contact with a triggering agent. However, most rashes are rather non- specific and can only be correctly analyzed by a direct visual exam. The description is too vague for a label. Have it evaluated.

Road Rash: Ouch... Road rash is basically a very bad burn and peeling away of layers of skin due to sliding across concrete. A small one may be treated with neosporin but a large one should be evaluated by a physician. Goal is to enhance healing, reduce pain and prevent infection. Good luck!

Not a great idea: I imagined this would burn terribly you would be better off having a doctor do it with sterile saline so it would not hurt so much.

It won't: You will probably have a scar for the rest of your life. I'm glad it came from an adventure, perhaps even a time you were enjoying, and that you did not sustain a more serious injury. There is no such thing as a perfect body, and scars give us character, letting others know we have lived.

Depends: Your healt statu, degree of injury and contamination can,affect rate of healing.  If seems to be slow see your doc.
