i got these light purple marks on my breasts and im not sure what it is or if i should worry about them. ive had them since i was like twelve im 15 now and when i poke it its kinda like a sinkhole type thing. should i worry and do you know what it is?

: You may be describing striae, otherwise known as “stretch marks”. These happen when the part of the body is growing relatively quickly and the skin is forced to stretch quickly. To be certain that’s what you are seeing, a doctor can examine you. If that is what is there, it is not harmful and they often fade over time. Good luck to you!

i'm a teenager, and i've discovered multiple purple marks on both my breasts, and i was wondering if this was normal during puberty or something other?

Teenager: Have you been pinching your breasts. That would cause the discoloration. If you are breaking out all over see your doctor immediately.

See your MD: See your md, it could be nothing but a blue nevis, I am guessing, but you need a exam. See your doctor.

Common: This is common but can be increased with breast augmentation or lactation. If painful, this maybe associated with a condition known as mondor's disease.  
You may want to discuss with your surgeon to ensure that there are no other rare causes such as a venous malformation or tumor but these are exceptionally rare.

Angiomas.: These are very likely cherry angiomas - benign skin lesions.  They are just tiny malformations in blood vessels which become more prominent with age.  They have no relation to any other disease.  Take a photo of them and re-eval in a few months to make sure they are not changing.

See your doctor: If the spots are away from the nipple it could be anything like a bruise or bite or insect bite. If they are close to the nipple they can be inflamed montgomery glands (they lubricate the nipple). Go see your doc if it does not spontaneously go away. Do you have nipple discharge? If bloody always go see your doc.

i have chest pain on the right side of my breast and my chest looks purple around my chest. what's wrong?

Sounds like a bruise: to me.  The breast is tender tissue and you could be bruised from just a ball or minimal injury.  If the pain is mild you could apply a heating pad and see if it gets better, turns yellow and goes away.  If pain is severe, you may have a rib injury and should be seen (especially if at all short of breath).  Ask Mom to help!

my breast still have multiple purple lines and it's been over 4 months since the hickey... will they go away?

Superficial veins?: It is not unusual for fair skinned women to have superficial veins which are visible upon the breast.  Any bruising should be resolved 4 months out.  We could sort this out for you in a prime visit.

Don't know: Please see your dermatologist for evaluation and to discuss treatment options. This way you can find out what is causing the lesions.

You need tests: To check your enodocrine system, especially a hormone called prolactin.  See an endocrinologist.
