Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without examining you  and your symptoms warrant an in-person evaluation. If you are sexually active it could be due to herpes  and you should get tested for other sexually transmitted infections. It would be prudent to see your gynecologist.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex. 
Get HPV vaccine, if you are under 27 years of age.

Get seen: It could be a hematoma related to sex, but its probably an early bartholins gland cyst.

Blood vessel?: It could have been a superficial blood vessel or something like a small boil.  Likely a vessel by the amount of bleeding u describe but that's not something that just pops up; those are generally there for a while.  Keep the area clean with soap and water twice daily.  Good luck.

Unlikely. : Herpes isn't a bump but a tender sore.  You can't pop herpes.

Below: You might try warm baths, 3-4 times per day, to get moist heat to the area.  Also could use moist packs instead.
Many times this will help reduce the swelling, but if this is not effective, or there is pain, worsening, then an exam will be needed.

See doc: You need an exam. There's a chance the growth is a herpes lesion. Or potentially something like an irritated hair follicle or a fungus. Your doc can help.

: No, platelets are not involved in tissue growth. Plasma is involved in tissue growth but the presence or absence of platelets in the plasma would not influence tissue growth as far as I can recall from histology.

Yes: Yes it is not abnormal for labia minora to show. Although, if they are swollen or red then you might want to see if you have an infection or not like yeast etc.

: No, Mother Nature has provided you with the size and shape of your labia minora. Using OTC creams and salves are at best "misleading" at worse scams. It is not nice to fool with Mother Nature.
