can frequent uti's cause weight loss?  i've been losing weight not too hungry i get very pungent urine smell and migraines, depression and nausea

A lot going on: I wouldn't think the urinary infection is the most likely culprit but you have other issues. Certainly, when a person has migraines, often with nausea, she often does not feel like eating &amp; can lose weight. Weight loss is also a common symptom of untreated depression. Then add a urine infection where you can just feel punk/not eat. You need a thorough evaluation &amp; treatment for all these issues

Urine odor: Strong urine odor is common and food intake is the main reason. The cabbage may be responsible. Most likely it has nothing to do with your UTI.

: Asparagus can give a very strong odor to the urine, but I'm not sure about sushi. However fish in general can cause smelly urine.  Either way your urine odor didn't signify any kidney pathology.

Bladder infection: Foul-smelling urine can come from a bladder infection or even from certain foods that we eat. Stds do not usually effect the bladder and i wouldn't think they are responsible for the foul-smelling urine. More than likely it is from a bladder infection. Vaginal infections can sometimes have an odor as well and may be difficult to distinguish from odor caused by urine.

Possible but...: Any chemical may carry its unique odor after mixing with natural vaginal fluid which even varies among individuals; it's of no exception for replens. So, to verify your concern, it's no harm to smell the area with using it or with using simple KY jelly or without using it so you can smell the difference and draw a conclusion.

It : It sounds like the person in question would benefit from a urinalysis. This need to be done in a doctor's office. Things like ketones, protein, glucose, white blood cells, etc. Are measured. 
Often times a chemical odor or fruity odor can indicate ketosis which can be caused by diabetes or a very low carb diet. However, it is very diffucult to say without an evaluation.

Unlikely: Neither high calcium nor levo. Will cause foul odor. Most common cause of dark, strong urine is dehydration. You should be drinking minimum of 100 ounces of fluids/day or enough to keep urine color fairly clear, not only to help lower calcium but to prevent kidney stones . Other causes of foul urine are UTI and certain foods and meds. A urinalysis and culture can determine if UTI present.

: Its possible. Also what else did you eat with the Sushi, spices , vegetables can also make your Urine smell, If it happeend once and then was back  to Normal I would not panic.
