my son has a pulsating vein under his eye and it seems to be very frequent. is this something he should worry about? what is it?

There are normal : blood vessls found under the eye, but if he has discomfort i would see ophthalmologist. I have a similar vein and it pulses when i exercise profusely. nothing to worry about, some lasers can treat them

i have a pulsating vein under my right eye i cannot feel it but when it does happen vision becomes impaired - is this a cause for concern?

Yes: better see an Ophthalmologist, start with your doctor who would refer you, pulsating sensation near your eye and visual impairment need evaluation, best wishes
p.s. veins don't pulsate, arteries do

What you feel: if on the temple is likely your temporal artery.  Veins may bulge but do not pulsate.  Feel the opposite side for the same thing and if you do feel it then not to worry.

Muscle fiber twitch?: Random twitching near an eyelid, which happens in normal people, is called myokymia (involuntary, spontaneous, quivering of a few muscle cell bundles within a muscle). Myokymia starts and stops spontaneously. In the eyelids, it can last a few minutes to a few days. One should see an ophthalmologist (MD eye doctor) if such symptoms persist, keep recurring, or are combined with any other symptoms.

Needs to see someone: This could be a serious issue. There is a rare disorder called carotid-cavernous fistula. You need to have a mra and other tests to make the diagnoses. So please don't ignore it and have someone see you. You can start with an ophthalmologist or and ent.

No: Veins may fluctuate with respiration, position, but not normal to pulsate.
Trauma?
High blood pressure?
Heart disease?

i am 21, i am having a buldging pulsating vein on my left temple with headache and eye pain. i use computers alot.. i had severe headache last night.

Arteries pulsate.: Arteries pulsate and veins do not.  However, if a vein is close to the artery, the pulse of the artery will be transmitted to the vein so the vein will look as if it is pulsating.  Certainly eye strain can occur when using a computer leading to headaches.  I cannot say if the arterial pulsation has anything to do with the headache.  If your symptoms persist then follow up with your medical doctor.

i have been experiencing all the symptoms of visual snow and vitreous degeneration from past 10 months, but today i saw very small pulsating vein in which blood was flowing and flashes in right eye, what is going on?? im 21.

after 2 weeks of eye strain, poor neck posture and tension a pulsating(visibly beating) vein (or artery) on my left temple popped up and been appearing and disapearing since then (3 days). should i be concerned or just relax for a few weeks?

: I would suggest that you need a proper medical workup to include bloodwork to exclude serious autoimmune problems such as Temporal Arteritis which would be unusual at your age or other rheumatologic conditions. This condition merits immediate treatment as ignoring it could result in blindness. More likely than not this is not the problem but you would not want to miss the opportunity to treat

Several options: There are several options to treat under eye veins including lasers, sclerotherapy and removal through tiny incisions (microphlebectomy).  Each procedure has pros and cons and you should seek someone who has experience in treating veins in this area.  Several types of creams such as auriderm and bleaching may help.  See a vein specialist.
