my son is 14 year old boy.at 7 years old he had a head injury on the back, he didn't pass out so i didn't go to the er. he's in puberty and he's scared he is never going to get tall, as recorded he only grew 1 inch from 13-14. should i see a doctor?

: Your best reference remains his pediatrician who would be able to plot his annual growth against peers his age. There is high variability in puberty as growth happens in spurts.

Probably not: According to what I have read g6pd and periodontal disease are not associated.  But don't take my word for it.  Have your daughter examined by a qualified periodontist, a gum specialist.  Ask your family dentist for a referral, or schedule your daughter to b e examined in  the department of periodontics at a university's school of dentistry.

how much growth would you say a 14 year old girl with late puberty has left?

Depends: The growth potential of any kid is relative to their bone maturity. Late puberty is often paired with a bone maturity that follows the pubertal stage rather than age. A simple x-ray of the left hand can give a "bone age" & see if the growth centers show  the kid has more time. I generally just tell parents a girl gets about 2.5 inches after her first period. Expected ht is parents ave less 2.5in.

Dark hair?: If he is dark complected then he may always have small black hairs that are not related to puberty.  If they are from puberty they should be thicker and curly by now.  If he is not get the increase in hair in the groin and armpits by 15 1/2 years of age then he should be evaluated by the pediatrician.
