: There is not an easy answer to this question. You should follow up with an addictionologist  or psychiatrist for further evaluation and discussion. You may need to stop the seroquel but that should be done under physician supervision. You may nee a different medication.

Mehamphetamine: Meth can definitely cause persistent psychosis especially in those with predisposition. PCP, LSD, mushrooms, peyote might but no conclusive evidence that I know of. Cocaine and even marijuana frequently cause temporary psychosis and could trigger those who are susceptible more long term. Alcohol can cause psychosis especially during withdrawal

Prescribed, usually only if overdosed: anticholinergics, steroids, stimulants, L-Dopa. You are safest if you avoid street drugs, and take prescribed in prescribed doses.

Drug psychosis: First there needs to be drug intake.   Symptoms with each drug or drug class could differ.  Intoxication with many drugs can lead to psychotic symptoms.  In general these may include paranoia -- very fearful, feeling that others are trying to trick them, are not to be trusted, or have harmful intent.  Delusions of grandiosity.  Illusions & hallucinations -- could be visual or tactile. Much more.

Psychosis: Causes can be psychiatric such as mood or thought disorders, or organic such as metabolic or endocrine, etc.

Receptors: Chlorpromazine (the first phenothiazine antipsychotic) blocks more than 4 receptor types:  d2, h1, m1, alpha1, alpha2, 5ht2a, and 5ht2c -- and a very small amount of 5ht1a.  Other agents also block d2 receptors, but vary in histaminic, muscarinic, and serotonergic receptor effects.  These differences relate to differences in side effect profiles.

Unlikely: antipsychotic meds taken as prescribed in most people have no neurological effect that we are aware of. Taken over years in larger doses there is likelihood of effects. So taken briefly it is unlikely there would be any damage

Psychosis: Yes, in certain illnesses psychosis persists. It would be good if you would consult with a Psychiatrist to find out if another medication could help you. You can see a Clinical Psychologist to help you cope with stressors that could be making your psychosis worse.

my friend is suffering from puerperal psychosis and has been prescribed some drug. is that all they will do?

Ideally, we first: Need to get control of the psychotic symptoms and perhaps even get the depression a bit better before she is also referred to a therapist.  The best treatment is a combination of medication and therapy.
