i take centrum silver and zyflamend for inflammation.  a chiropractor mentioned importance of mineral supplementation and hydration. if calcium is bad if i get in food, what can i add to centrum?

Moderation: Zyflamend is an excellent product.   Max calcium intake would be around 600mg a day.  If you are eating healthy regular meals, then general mineral deficiency is rare.  Magnesium however is something that many are deficient in.  Unless you have renal disease adding an absorbable form of magnesium is advisable.

could ms cause foot cramping? its always the same foot at the arch and it feels like a charlie horse but on the bottom of my foot. im very hydrated? i take calcium and magnesium supplements too? it doesnt feel like a spasm?

Foot cramps and spasms can be caused my abnormal reflexes in your spinal cord that create spasms in the muscles of your feet (common in MS) or irritability of the muscles on the bottom of your feet (arch muscles) often spreading to your big toe.

does it herm the calcium layer of teeth by scaling. just scaled last day my tooth's are so sensitive today mostly when drinking cold water?

Should not: The reason why we have to scale is because of tartar build up. The tartar builds up at the gum line and causes breakdown of the tissue and bone. As the tissue breaks down recession occurs. As the the gums recede the root of the tooth becomes exposed. The root does not have the insulating enamel and is much more sensitive this is what you are feeling. Hopefully it will calm down over time.

i didn't drink much water for weeks. then, after hydrating for days, my calcium revealed to be 10.6 (range 8.3 - 10.3) and my albumin levels 5.5 (range 3.5 - 5.1). slightly elevated sodium too. everything else is normal. how concerned should i be?

: You are still not well hydrated. You should drink enough water every day so that your urine is mostly colorless. Your albumin and sodium levels suggest continuing dehydration. You may repeat the test after a month of sufficient water intake every day, including the morning of the test.

Breast or formula: A baby who is breastfed will get all the nutrients needed, including calcium, for the first 6 months (with the possible exception of vitamin d). All approved formulas contain adequate levels of calcium and should be used if not breastfeeding for the first 12 months. Homemade formulas or alternative formulas may be deficient in calcium and other nutrients and are not recommended.

Very unlikely: You would have to take in a large amount of vitamin d and calcium in order to produce significantly high blood calcium levels.  In the past people could get "milk alkali syndrome" by consuming large amounts of milk (containing calcium and vit d), as well as antacids that contained calcium, in order to treat peptic ulcer disease.  This syndrome is very rare today.

Calcium suplements: If you are trying to just suppliment you calcium intake 1500 mg daily is reccomended. Can be obtained via calcium vitamins  in  the store shelves such as oscal  or you can use Tums (calcium carbonate) which has 500 mg calcium per tum.
