Avoid caffeine, tobacco, alcohol, and large meals, as well as not eating right before bed.

Reflux: The lump i'm the throat feeling is most likely from reflux.  Stay away from acidic foods and eat healthier and you should be ok.  The lump in the throat is due to the spasm of the cricopharyngeal muscle which is the upper esophageal sphincter.  When there is acid in the lower esophagus it will tighten and cause that sensation.  Go online and research acidic foods to see what foods to avoid.

Doctor visit: Oral exam of mouth and history can rule out a lot of things. See whatever Doctor is available.  If not better will likely need to see an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist for evaluation and definitive diagnosis.
Could also need a dental evaluation, you are at the age wisdom teeth start causing problems.  Have you seen the dentist lately?
