Radiological Report: Radiological examination is borderline on the question of whether there is any hydrocephalus. Would need additional clinical information, but doctor's lingo for probably normal, but needs clinical interpretation.

Maybe: There are certainly kids with ld's that have normal ventricles as well as some that have prominent ones. The descriptor by itself could be at the upper limits of normal size and of no importance, or found when a kid has other issues that led to the study. The actual centers dealing with various learning activities are buried within the substance of the brain.

Brain damage...: ...Is detected by a neurologic (or neuropsychiatric) exam to elicit and assess the numerous functions of various regions of the brain, not by imaging. An MRI is good to look for some causes of brain damage but cannot tell you if there is or is not any damage.

No and no: No, anxiety does not cause prominent brain ventricles.  It can increase your heart rate, but it doesn't "mess up" your heart.  Some people with anxiety attacks have been found to have mitral valve prolapse (mvp), but this does not come from anxiety.  Mvp usually causes no symptoms or hemodynamic problems unless severe -- in which case, a cardiologist would be helping you.

: Doubt this is your MRI at age 32, as this would be normal findings of aging.  There is some brain atrophy and signs of microvascular angiopathy (hardening of the arteries), all of which would be expected at age 70-75 and beyond.

Hydrocephalus: Classic is hydrocephalus, which can be obstructive or communicating, and both can cause ventricular enlargement.  Pseudo tumor cerebri affects brain diffusely, and has a reverse effect of decreasing ventricular size.

It depends: It depends if you have any symptoms suggesting a cerebrospinal fluid circulation problem. If you have no symptoms it may just be an anatomical finding.

less than 9 mm in adults above 60 years. Ventriculomegaly shows enlarged ventricles/ normal spinal fluid (CSF) pressure. Hydrocephalus shows enlarged ventricles/increased spinal fluid pressure. It can occur when an injury or illness alters the circulation of CSF.
