Dengue: Dengue has a lot of different symptoms, the most common: high fever, stomach pain/diarrhea, eye pain and reddish eyes, skin rash and articular pain. And yes, it may be a cause to check blood count, but you should ask your doctor the cause of taking that studio, so they can talk to you about their suspected diagnosis and what are they looking for in that studio.

Yes: You can get infected more than twice as there are at least four different strains of the virus. Repeat infections are usually more severe.

Likely: There are 4 serotypes of dengue. If you were to encounter the same serotype, you may be immune & not get it at all. However, it is true, having 1 form & getting another, does increase your risk for more severe disease such as dengue hemorrhagic fever: a potentially fatal form. It would be perhaps reasonable to antibody test before traveling to an epidemic region. Regardless, insect precautions!

Debate continues as to whether dengue associated hepatic dysfunction indicates a direct viral effect, arises secondary to an aggressive host immune response to the virus, or reflects a complex interaction of these two mechanisms.
