Please explain: A deviated nasal septum is the rule.  It is quite rare to have a "perfectly" straight septum.  An injury to the front of the face is common in life, leading to a dislocation of the septal cartilage.  A deviated septum that is severe usually causes difficulty breathing through one side of the nose but could give rise to sinusitis.  However, it should not lead to other health problems.

It is possible that your nasal anatomy may be inherited, but the likelihood of trauma sometime in your life is certainly the major cause.  Falling off your bicycle as a child, a blow to the nose, an athletic injury are possible causes.  The nose is in front of the face and is anatomically the most common structure to be altered.

It is possible.: A deviated septum will block partially and obstruct free flow of air , mucus  of the opposite nostril. When there is excessive mucus production happens , the drainage will be blocked and this will lead to irritation  and some discomfort . The other important thing is the obstruction of normal breathing at night will interfere with sleep and the next morning will result tiredness and headache.
